How To Make Juice In Juicer

Juicing is a very healthy habit. Once you have started juicing on your own then you will forget the taste of street vendors. The changes in your body and your metabolism will be felt from the inner core of your body.

There are mainly 3 types of electric juicers available in the Indian market:

  1. Centrifugal juicers
  2. Masticating or Cold press juicers
  3. Citrus juicers.

Apart from these, there are a few types of manual juicers or hand juicers available in the market as well. They are not so productive as the electronic ones but they sure are cheap.

Now, you must be wondering which is the best juicer in India which you can use in your home to make juice in a juicer.

The answer is simple. It depends on your preference of juice which you like the most.

Before we begin to learn how to make juice in a juicer let’s learn quickly about what these different kinds of juicers are and how they work.

       1. Centrifugal Juicers: They are cheaper than cold press juicers. The principle is simple, simply cut the pieces of fruits or vegetables and spin them at a very high speed to extract the juice from fruits.

Centrifugal juicers are easy to clean and you can produce juice faster than other juicers in this one.

The biggest disadvantage of this kind of juicer is that the nutrients and enzymes are broken down, their parts easily wear out and they are not suitable for leafy vegetables/sprouts or wheatgrass

       2. Masticating or Cold press juicers: Cold press juicers take much more time than Centrifugal or citrus juicers. The biggest advantage of this juicer is that the nutrients and enzymes remain intact during the juicing process.

Cold press juicers are the best juicers for greens. They extract the juice by grinding the fruits and vegetables slowly against the wall.

The price of these juicers is higher than other types of juicers. They take a lot of time for juicing.

       3. Citrus juicers: As the name suggests they are only used for citrus fruits such as lemon juice, sweet lime, grapefruits, etc.

They are small, fast, cheap, and easy to clean and maintain.

Citrus juicers are not so popular due to their limited usage.

Now there is a difference between juicing and blending in which most people get confused.

Juicing a fruit or vegetable means the extraction of liquids from fruits or vegetables. On the contrary, blending refers to breaking down the substance into a very small thick liquid turning it into a smoothie.

You must be wondering which one is better. Some people think that blending is better as it gives you fibers of the fruits or vegetables that you are getting. Well, you are wrong.

Juicing is always a better option than blender as the nutrients are present in a highly concentrated volume in juice.

Smoothies are also much coarse and thick to gulp down the throat.

Once the juicing process is complete always make sure that the juicer is cleaned properly for next time usage. In order to do that successfully follow the steps below:

  1. Disconnect the juicer from power source.
  2. Disassemble all the parts of the juicer which you can without harming the machine. Please read the manual carefully before doing so.
  3. Rinse all the parts under running water with the help of detergent.
  4. Gently clean the mesh strainer
  5. To clean the electronic parts you can use a towel, or cotton cloth to wipe clean the machine.
  6. Before assembling all the parts make sure it is dried up completely.

Freshly prepared juice have so much juice. It is always a healthy option instead of a coffee in the afternoon. Juices are not like smoothies as the fibre in the smoothies is stripped off in the juicing process.

Which mean drinking a juice is not the same as drinking a smoothie. It will not fill up your stomach and should not be considered as a meal.

Juicing natural and home-made products will ultimately increase your chances of better health and there are juicers for all purposes available in the market.
